Eating starts shortly after 9:00AM following set up.


This Month's Special:

    We feature "Special Items" each month prepared by 
    Chef Uwe added to the Self Service tray.
    This month it will be:

    "Four Cheese Egg Strata".
    

    




















    Our "Regular Items" are also available.

    Belgian Waffles, Strawberries and Cream.
    Scrambled Eggs.
    Bacon.
    Sausages.
    Toast.
    Orange Juice.
    Fruit Cup. 
    Coffee and Tea

November 2nd 2017

2. Expansion of the Hot Serving Trays.

3. Warming of Sausage and Bacon in the Oven.

4. New "Special Items" prepared by Chef Uwe will 
    be a feature added to the Self Service tray.


This month it will be a Sausage Egg Sandwich on a
Croissant.

The Signup Sheet at the Senior Center assumes 

that all members shown are coming.

Add your name if not shown.

Put a check mark near your name.  

Put "No" if you re not coming.

Call the Center and ask them to enter this information 

If you can't stop by. (860-355-3090).

We now show a schedule of "Receipts" , "Attendance" and "Current Balance" for those taking advantage of the 20% discount by paying $20 for 5 meals. 

The  "Belgian Waffles" are served timely. 

"Scrambled Eggs" cooked fresh in the skillet is very popular and  will be available. 

Coffee and Toast is by help yourself.

We all sit at one long table and have good eats, music and social interaction.

Toast, Jelly and Belgian Waffle with Strawberries and Cream are available. Don't forget Juice and Fruit Cup.

We are having a "Special Order" on August 3rd.
If you wanted "Eggs Benedict" prepared by Chef Uwe,
you had to sign up at the Senior Center.

Our Final Sign up Number is 26
We also have 3 for Waffles and Fixings and a Total of 29


Fixings include Strawberies and Cream or Butter, 
Syrup and Bacon.

There will be Pancakes, Toast and Jelly, Orange Juice and Fruit Cup.
Coffee and Tea too.

No Scrambled Eggs or Sausage on August 3rd.

The Surprise "Belgian Waffle" test in February was a "BIG" hit so we will continue with double the amount of Waffles in March.

Meals are charged at $5 each month and can be paid when coming.

A “New Advance Payment” of $20 for five meals started on January 5th and is an 
“Option” to get a 20% discount to $4.00 a meal. You are only charged when you come.

The signup sheet at the Senior Center assumes all members are coming. 

Put a check near your name If you are coming, and 

Cross out your name if you are not coming or call the Center.

This experience is for you to prepare your own meal using the directions
provided, the Microwave, Toaster, and disposable supplies provided.
  
There are now 5 Breakfast Fares suggestions that have been tested and cook nicely.
You can select any of the “Choices” available on the food table or make your own 
Specialty. Adjust Microwave times to accommodate your choices.

If you are a “First Timer”, the Pancakes and Sausage are the easiest to prepare.
Toast and Jelly will be available at each Breakfast. Ask for any needed help.


       1.   Breakfast  Fare:


Pancakes, Sausages,
Juice, Coffee or Tea

   Making your selections- Please use the Tongs

   Select 2 to 4 Pancakes and place them on your 10 inch Microwavable plate.
   Select 2 to 4 Sausage Links or 1 to 2 Patties and place them on your plate.


   Cooking

   Microwave 4 of each for 1 minute and 30 seconds. (1.30)
   Microwave 2 of each for 1 minute and 20 seconds. (1.20)


   Preparing

   Remove from Microwave and place a pat of butter on each pancake.
   Add Maple Syrup as desired.
   Enjoy your breakfast.


   Finally

   Socialize at your table.
   Clean up your setting, all is disposable.

Scrambled Eggs - Bacon
Juice, Coffee  and Toast















  Making your selections- Please use the Tongs


   Select 2 Eggs, crack them and place them in the 1 cup measuring bowl.
   Mix them thoroughly and add 2 tablespoons of milk.
   
   Cover with a napkin to vent steam.


   Cooking

   Microwave for 45 seconds.
   Remove from the Microwave and stir gently with a spoon and cover with napkin.
   Microwave for another 20 seconds. (If you want them well done).
   

   Select Bacon slices and place them on your Plate and cover with napkin
   Microwave for 35 seconds.
   Scoop the Eggs onto your plate with the Bacon.

   Preparing

   Add Salt and Pepper as desired.
   Toast your bread and butter as desired.
   Enjoy your breakfast.

   Finally

   Socialize at your table.
   Clean up your setting, all is disposable.

Examples -  Preparing Eggs (Always separately)
Scrambled:
Select 2 Eggs, crack them and place them in the 1 cup measuring bowl.
Mix them thoroughly and add 2 tablespoons of milk.
Spray Pam into a Hot Cup and pour the Eggs into it.
Cover with a napkin to vent steam. Microwave for 45 seconds.
Remove from the Microwave and stir gently with a spoon and Scoop the
Eggs onto your plate.

Sunnyside Eggs:
Select 2 Eggs, crack them and place them in the 1 cup measuring bowl.
Spray Pam into a Microwavable bowl and pour the Eggs into it.
Poke each egg twice with your fork like a cross. +
Cover with a paper towel sheet to vent steam.
Microwave for 45 seconds.

Slide the Eggs onto your plate with your fork.

 The Breakfast Club meets and eats on the first Thursday (usually) of each month.
 Set up will start at 9:00AM,
 
  All members are expected to participate in the Set Up Process.  
 
  Meals will be charged at $5 each month and can be paid when coming.
  Advance payment of $30 for six breakfasts is also an Option. You are charged

  only when you come.
 
  The signup sheet assumes all members are coming. Put a check mark when
   you intend to come.
   Cross out your name when you are not coming.
 

 This experience is for you to prepare your own meal using the directions

  provided, the Microwave, Toaster, and disposable supplies provided.
  
 There are 4 Breakfast Fares below that have been tested and cook nicely.
  
  Please feel free to Select any of the Choices Available and make your own Specialty.   
  Adjust Microwave times to accommodate your choices.
  
  All food will be carefully selected. 
 Toast and Jelly will be available at each Breakfast.

   The set up process is as follows:

   1. The Food set up table for:
     A. Plates of Pancakes (3 plates of 12) Bags in freezer need separating.
     B. Sausage Patties (1 Plate of 18) Already browned.
     C. Bacon (1# for 12 people – halved and oven cooked).
     D. Tongs (3)
     E.  Eggs (1 Dozen per 6 people).(3 Dozen)
     F.  Egg Stations for Scrambled, Sunnyside and Omelet.
     F.  Measure Cups (3).
     G. Disposable Hot Cups (12)
     H. Table spoons (2) to mix eggs.
      I.  Microwave Bowls (12).
     J.  Microwave Plates 9".
    K.  Spatula 
      
   2. Microwave table: 
     A. Butter patties with a knife and a spoon to stir eggs.
     B. Plastic Knives, forks and spoons on a Plate.
     C. Napkins.
     D. Paper Towel Roll.
     E. Orange Juice and Cups
     F.  Plastic Microwave Cover.

   3. Coffee table:
     A. Coffee made (Regular and Decaf)
     B. Hot water for tea in the kitchen.
     C. Mugs, Half and Half and Sweeteners.

   4. Toaster table:
     A. Toaster
     B. Bread
     C. Butter Patties
     D. Smucker’s Jellies
     E. Set up Toaster and Bread, Butter, Jelly Packets and Napkins
