Three Health Issue Programs


AUGUST 23RD  at 1:00PM  Please join us for an informative talk on the following three health issues.

HELPFUL INFORMATION ABOUT MEDICATIONS: 
Kathryn Daulong,  a Bridgewater resident and a pharmacist at Danbury Hospital, will be at our center to talk to you about medications. She will discuss important information to help you safely take your medications. Some of the topics will include drug interactions, optimal times to take your medication, side effects and safe drug disposal. There will be time after the discussion for you to ask questions. 

CARROTS AND BEYOND: 
Have you ever wondered what you can do to keep your vision sharp and clear for the rest of your life? Join one of New Milford’s eye doctors, Archna Johar M.D., for an exciting in depth presentation about risks to your eye health and diseases that can threaten your sight. She will speak about the different eye vitamins and new scientific findings that can potentially save your vision. Topics of discussion will include: cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes. Dr. Johar has performed hundreds of surgeries and helped thousands of people improve their eyesight. There  will also be time for you to ask any questions you may have.  

HEARING HEALTH:
Scott A. Adamsons, B.A.,H.I.S., is an accomplished licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist and member of the International Hearing Society. Scott brings to the greater New Milford area communities a high level of diagnostic and technical hearing health experience in the area of digital hearing instrument technologies. 
He is known for his passion to help people get the most out of life and stresses that early hearing loss detection is essential in providing people with an effective treatment plan and is key to maintaining the highest quality of life. Scott will be discussing the different types of hearing loss, the latest hearing instrument technologies and how hearing health effects all areas of life. He will also be answering questions and providing written information on the hearing health services that are available through Hearing aid specialists of Connecticut.
